To continue on the topic of the jingang bashi, the third one in line is pi shan zhang which translates to mountain splitting palm. This is usually the first introduction to pigua type movements for the Baji practitioner. ‘Pi’ means splitting like with an axe and ‘gua’ means in this case rising up after the splitting movement.
